The hallmark year is 1845. That’s when Ettore Zucca discovered the appealing flavor of rhubarb thanks to a preparation made with the roots of this plant to aid his wife Tilde’s digestion. Grasping the infusion’s extraordinary potential, Ettore Zucca modified the recipe appropriately and then turned his results into an immensely popular liqueur – one destined to become a mark of high society throughout Europe, from Milan to Turin, all the way to Paris and London.

La bottiglia ricorda nella sua forma quella originale, utilizzata negli anni della prima produzione e della sua rapida diffusione, anni in cui Zucca divenne anche fornitore ufficiale della Famiglia Reale Italiana.

L’etichetta riporta fedelmente la firma del fondatore Ettore Zucca e i simboli inequivocabili di una storia di grande successo:

• l’effigie di Emanuele Vittorio III, la Gran Croce d’Onore e il brevetto della Casa Reale;

Now the bottle‘s new shape sparks memories of the original, which dates back to the early production days and to the product’s rapid diffusion. These were the same years that Zucca also became official purveyor of the Italian Royal Family.

The label still bears an exact replica of founder Ettore Zucca’s signature. That’s in addition to unequivocal symbols of a great Italian success story. They include:
